At Heathfield, we ensure our children are exposed to a wide array of musical experiences, including listening, playing, creating and analysing a variety of musical styles and historical and cultural contexts. We show how highly we value music with our links to the wider community. Year 3 and 4 are given the opportunity to visit local care homes to sing for their residents, school-wide trips to local theatres are arranged for all children to attend, children perform in various ways throughout the school year whether that be in their class/year group production or in class and musicians are welcomed into our assemblies to inspire our children.
